We work with our customers, focusing on electrical machine design for various applications including electric vehicles, power assisted steering systems, industrial automation, fluid machinery, micro turbines genset and wind energy generation. This engineering function included specifying the product to be built, designing appropriate solutions to the product’s functional and non-functional requirements, implementing those designs to create product prototypes, performing verification and validation testing on the product and generating the information that permitted manufacturing of the product. These products are commercially successful. Planning the design activities included placing line items (tasks) on schedule, assigning resources, and estimating the level of effort required. Also, I involved company’s portfolio management activities, developing a product innovation strategy, NPD process, APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and gate reviews of the projects.  .

Dr Sooriyakumar has had over 20 years’ experience in helping companies devloping E-Machines. Dr Sooriyakumar founded EDRIVE Design Limited in 2014 and continue to deliver successful E-Machine design projects.
